WHY VOLUNTEER?
Every year, 600+ volunteers join the Sunfest family and make the festival possible. Sunfest has formed many friendships over the past 31 years and we hope you’ll join us for our 32nd!

Experience Canada’s premier celebration of world cultures! Sunfest has over 40 international and national performers and over 200 food and craft vendors every year!

SUNFEST STAGES
The stage crew keeps our 5 stages and 40+ international & national artists running on time and sounding great!
To volunteer for stage crew you must be 18+ and have previous stagehand/ music experience. If you would like to volunteer for stage crew please fill out the form below (and do not sign up for the general volunteer form!)

Yes!
You can absolutely receive your high school community service hours by volunteering at Sunfest.
Community service hour forms will be signed on the Monday following the summer festival during our tear-down day (due to the number of volunteers). Don’t forget your form!

We have a number of teams available, so there is really something for everyone!
Teams:
-Green Team: Keep the park clean!
-Merch Team: Sell Sunfest and artist merch
-Donations Team: Encourage attendees to donate to Sunfest to keep the festival free!
-Park Monitors: Keep an eye on the park and report anything outside of the norm to coordinators/security.
-Office volunteers: Help sign in other volunteers and help keep the on-site festival office organized
-Hospitality volunteers: Keep our artists fed and happy!
-Set-Up & Tear down: Help us set-up/teardown the festival.

We have a wide variety of shifts available before, during and after the festival!
Typically shifts are 3-4 hours long, and you determine how many shifts and what team to be on when it’s time to select shifts (beginning of June). The shift selection process is first come first serve!
The stages scheduling works a bit differently, please reach out to stagesvols@gmail.com for that info.

Yes!
Each of our volunteer teams requires a number of team coordinators to help train and oversee our 600+ volunteers!

Volunteers must be least 14 years old, are eager to represent Sunfest well and uphold our policy.
Please note that you must be 18+ to volunteer for stages.

The stages volunteer team is totally separate from the general volunteers.
For this reason you cannot volunteer for both.
