Haitian-born, Montreal-based Wesli has come a long way since he strung a nylon line to an oil can as an eight-year-old aspiring musician. Rooted in the voudou and rara music of his home and adding roots, Afrobeat, hip hop, reggae and more, his unique sound and captivating live show have won over audiences worldwide.

A talented storyteller dedicated to cultural celebration and connecting diverse audiences, his music blends infectious melodies with socially conscious lyrics. Since being named a 2009-2010 Radio Canada Révélation, he’s continued on a rising path lined with awards and accolades including Babel Med Music Prize (France), a Canadian Folk Music Award, a Félix Award (Québec), a JUNO Award, and many more. 

He has toured across North America, Haiti, Colombia, Brazil, and Europe, and participated in showcase events including WOMEX, Mundial Montréal and Cape Verde’s Atlantic Music Expo. His seven acclaimed albums include collaborations with Sunfest veterans AfrotroniX and Malika Tirolien, and releases on the legendary Cumbancha label.
