Hailing from Montreal’s vibrant music scene, Tina Leon is a captivating artist inspired by the Motown generation and the soul music of the last several decades. 

Having worked with Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, DJ Champion and more under her full name, Marie-Christine Depestre, she now appears under the nickname given to her by her family, and in homage to her maternal grandmother. This choice of a new stage name is a way for her to fully express her personality, to assert her art and to find a form of balance.

Her two EPs, Push and Pull, from 2022 and 2023 respectively, have been described as covering a rainbow of soul, colourful journeys through jazzy, funk, and pop rhythms with rich and enchanting melodies. She appeared at the 2023 Montreal Jazz Festival as well as being selected by the essential Quebec music gathering, RIDEAU in 2024.
