A singer, multi-instrumentalist and composer with a solo career spanning more than 15 years, Sol Pereyra’s music explores the folk traditions of Latin America and beyond, by way of electronics, pop, and more.

She co-founded Los Cocineros in 2002, a band that reworked boleros, tangos, ballads, and more, mixed with reggae, cumbia, and other forms. They released 7 albums before she began her solo career in 2009. 

A four-time nominee for the Gardel Awards – Argentina’s Grammys – her six solo albums are coloured by an abandonment of any musical prejudice, combining guitars, electronic beats, woodwinds, percussion, marimba, synthesizers, and samples. Her song for Latin American youth, “Nadie Te Preguntó” (“Nobody Asked You”), has achieved massive success, with over 10 million streams on Spotify and 200 million streams on YouTube.
