Two powerful voices of Dakar rap and RnB join forces to create an exciting hip hop duo that, rooted in Senegalese culture and history, has shaken up the local scene, and is starting to make waves internationally.

Mamy Victory’s powerhouse vocals have been well-known across Senegal for several years, while Défa is one of the most sought-after RnB voices in the country: she was one half of the duo Rafa as well as a backup singer for the world-renowned hip-hop-and-more Daara J Family. DJ Zeina, a rising star on the local electronic scene, provides the musical foundations atop which the vocal poetics shine.

Their dynamic sound is heavily influenced by Dakar, with local melodies and rhythms melding with international influences like electro-pop, echoing and taking influence from the chaos, cosmopolitanism, and intensity of the local scene.
