SHEBAD, the Guelph-based music and art project creates indie soul that fuses jazz-influenced melodies,danceable basslines, and a transcendent voice to create a captivating musical experience. Described by CBC's Laila Biali as "music that exists in a sonic world of its own," SHEBAD's sound defies conventions and invites listeners into a realm of sonic exploration. 

Their debut EP, show us it's real, has garnered the attention of KCRW (NPR), CBC Radio, and various Spotify Curated playlists, among others, amplifying their reach and influence. Importantly, SHEBAD remains entirely independent, recording, and producing their music at home, crafting visual art, and designing all merch in collaboration with their community of artists. This commitment to self-sufficiency underscores their dedication to authenticity and creative autonomy. Collaborative by nature, SHEBAD continues to push boundaries and redefine what it means to create art that resonates deeply with both the soul and the senses. Their commitment to community has resulted in a Guelph Music Prize and a growing fan base that belies their short history.

Their exploratory and raw live performances have been noticed, with recent invitations to open for legendary artists Thievery Corporation and Kamasi Washington.
