Cuban-born, Andy Rubal was destined for the stage, having started early: At the age of 6, he sang in Baby Salsa, a band created by the singer from acclaimed Cuban band Son 14, and has scarcely left the stage since. 

An esteemed and classically trained singer-songwriter, pianist, arranger, and bandleader, he explores and expands the musical culture of salsa as we know it, garnering widespread acclaim for his contributions to the world of Latin music.

After providing musical direction for artists such as Waldo Mendoza, Orlando "Maraca" Valle, and Raul Paz, he released his first solo project on EGREM, the label behind the famed Buena Vista Social Club, and was nominated for "Best Salsa Album for a New Artist" at the Cuba Disco Awards in 2017.

His onstage charisma and virtuoso talent makes Andy Rubal a must-see artist for salsa lovers everywhere, and his highly-anticipated new salsa album showcasing his Cuban roots and his musical journey since emigrating to Montreal is set to be unleashed later this year.
